Dias Geophysical’s 3D survey over the Arrow Deposit in the western Athabasca basin, Saskatchewan, for NexGen Energy identified a new potential exploration target. The survey was successful in mapping conductive alteration associated with NexGen’s Arrow deposit. And approximately 400 m south of the Arrow deposit, a very similar conductive basement response was identified in the DIAS32 3D survey results. This new target, when combined with other geologic and geophysical data sets was elevated to a high priority target for testing. The initial drill tests in early 2017 identified high grade uranium mineralization and significant alteration, similar to that seen at the Arrow deposit. The details of the new discovery can be viewed on the NexGen web site.
Dias is pleased to have been part of this discovery. A follow up 3D survey is planned for the fall of 2017.
